Jerry Mehaffey
President / Owner, AOT Recreation
Owner and President of AOT, Jerry Mehaffey received his Bachelor of Business Degree in General Business in 1994, and Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (Landscaping) in 1995 from Tarleton State University. In addition, he obtained his real estate, chemical applicator, irrigation, and pilot's license in the early to mid 90's. After managing a commercial landscape maintenance and construction company in Dallas for over twenty years, he focused on real estate ventures. Jerry focused on flipping properties, daily and yearly lakefront rentals, ranch improvement services, and real estate sales. He continues these ventures currently on a limited basis, but his new focus is providing the commercial playground industry with exceptional service, expedient sales and installation, and unbeatable pricing. If he's not at work, Jerry is probably with his wife Mara at a lake, on a beach, or spending time at their teenage son Luke's sporting events.
Mara Mehaffey
Creative Director
Mara Mehaffey received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Science from Tarleton State University in 1999, following her love for animals. Rather than working in this industry, she simply accumulated many animals to care for. Therefore, she needed to make money. Mara found this in the home-building industry selling new homes for a nationwide builder where she won numerous local, regional, and national sales awards. When the economy slowed and she had her son Luke, she transitioned into the project coordinator role with the same company to spend more time with family. After over 20 years in the home-building industry, she focused on the lakefront rental market. Mara is excited to use her project coordinator role and customer service skills in building this new venture at AOT. Her competitiveness is fierce, which led her to holding a Texas high school state swimming record for over five years. She's welcoming the competition in this industry to prove she WILL be the best. Her passions are spending time with her son, animals, exercise, traveling, and the beach.
Ed Puente
Sales Manager
Ed Puente has over 5 years of professional experience in Sales and Designs working with municipalities, school districts, HOA's, churches, daycares and more.
Ed also has over 15 years' experience working in the Parks and Recreation field.
